Waterline Church believes children are a gift from God, and we are very excited to offer the opportunity for our families to celebrate together in a child dedication.
Child dedication is a public commitment you make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication experience provides you, the parents, an opportunity to express your desire to spiritually lead and nurture your child so your child will develop a desire to love God and love others. Christian parents who dedicate a child are simply making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly way, prayerfully, until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God.
The scriptural root of a child dedication is found in 1 Samuel 1:27-28, where a godly woman named Hannah prayed year after year for God to give her a child. He answered her prayer and she gave birth to a son, whom she named Samuel. When Samuel was born, Hannah prayed these words: “For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of Him. So I have also dedicated him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the Lord.”
We have an opportunity for your children to be dedication on February 18th. If you are interested, please fill out this form asap and we be in touch with you.

Toddlers and Preschool
The goal for this month is to learn that Jesus is the one to watch, because JESUS CAN DO ANYTHING!You’re going to have a lot of little eyes on you this month watching and learning. We have an awesome opportunity to direct those eyes to the One worthy of watching – the One who truly can do anything – the One who wants to be their friend forever. And hey, who wouldn’t want a friend who can do anything?
Elementary
Growing in faith is not something that happens by simply cramming information
about the Bible into a child’s brain. The knowledge in their head means nothing if we don’t help kids experience what that knowledge can do in their heart. To experience faith, we want kids to practice their faith and that takes commitment.
NXTGEN

A three-week series about worry and anxiety, and how we can live the stress-free life God intends for us.

So get your sweet tooth—and your heart—ready for a super sweet month filled with the good news that JESUS LOVES EVERYONE! It’s going to be one, huge, sugar overload, not because of candy but because Jesus’ love is just that big and sweet!
Elementary
God was kind to us even when we didn’t deserve it. Even when we were still sinners, Jesus died for us. Because of God’s great love for us, we can be kind to everyone.Jesus personified kindness in the way He lived and interacted with the people He met. But, as we read the Gospels, we find that Jesus didn’t just model kindness. He commanded it. By treating others the way we want to be treated, we live out the way Jesus taught us to live.
NXTGEN
During this series we’re going to dive in to two of the most common, and most misunderstood, words in our vocabulary and see how some clarity on what these words
mean could lead us to a clearer picture of who God is and what He wants for our lives.

June 3rd :Moana

ELEMENTARY: Determination is a response of the character of God. Throughout scripture, we can discover that God has been faithful to His people. He rescued them from slavery in Egypt. He sent Jesus to rescue us from our sin. He remained faithful to the early church as they spread the message of Jesus throughout the world. When we see how God gave His people what they needed to continue following Him, we can respond with determination believing that God will give us what we need to finish what we start
INFANTS/TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL: Throughout the summer, our preschoolers will be introduced to people in the Bible who did amazing things while they were still kids. They rocked because they did what God wanted them to do, and our preschoolers can do that too. And, we’ve included a challenge for you to send home for families (check out the first page)
created in God’s image, we have the capacity to love. Every time we choose to treat others the way we want to be treated, we show others a glimpse into the perfect love God has for each and every one of us.
On February 12th Waterline celebrated its 6th birthday with having everyone no matter how old or young to invited their friends to this special event. The kids were so excited to invite their friends and we even got them special invites! Every week they listed off who they would love to invite and it was a great time to teach them about the importance of inviting their friends to church! We had 15 total new kids and 40 adults on Friend Day! The truth is everyday is FRIEND DAY at Waterline! So how can you continue to encourage your children to invite their friends?
others. Imagine with me, for a moment, a world filled with men and women who love others the way Jesus loves us. That’s what we want for our preschoolers.
Elementary: Since we are created in God’s image, we have the ability to offer forgiveness when people in our lives hurt us. God’s love in us makes it possible for us to forgive others and work towards fixing our own relationships that break down from time to time. Jesus made it possible for us to have God’s forgiveness.
God’s inviting us to stop avoiding and escaping hard times, and instead, face our troubles head-on. And maybe we’ll see that through our struggles, God builds our character, provides us with comfort, and calls us to share that comfort with others.
Infants/Toddlers/Preschool: We get to tell them the true story of how much God loves them and how He gave them His only Son. We get to tell them that Jesus is alive, and He wants to be their friend forever. We have one of the best jobs in the world! We get to share with preschoolers that Jesus is the best! What an honor and a privilege.
God. We allow our pride to take over and forget that any of our strengths or accomplishments would not exist without God. The only proper response in light of God’s greatness is to respond with humility in our interactions with the people around us. Jesus is the ultimate example of humility.
NXTGEN: whether you have a huge group of friends or just one BFF, they can have a huge impact on who you are now and who you become later. Our group can sway us toward good decisions . . . or bad ones. There’s a lot of influence in who we hang out with, including our friends and people we look to for guidance. And there can be a lot of pain when a friendship ends. Perhaps that’s why the Bible has so much to say about these topics. As we look to the Bible for advice, we’ll discover how we should choose our friends and mentors, and how we should handle those friendships that fade over time.
